Client: Shape and Bake
The Client
Shape and Bake is stainless steel bakeware that you can use to shape a cake into anything you put your mind too. Owner, Emina Hayrula, created this product for the home baker who is looking to design unique cakes for everything from the staff office party to a children’s birthday party.
The Video Project
Shape and Bake’s primary goal for the video was to create a product video for Kickstarter to raise money for manufacturing. We worked with Emina on her script and created a storyboard that included the different types of cakes that we would create to show the versatility of her product. Since Emina was not on set for the video shoot, we wanted to make sure everything was very clear to both her and our creative team, so that the end product would be just as she envisioned.
Biggest Challenge
We felt the best way to demonstrate the versatility of the Shape and Bake pan was to demonstrate a few pan shapes being made and then showcase the finished cake images. Like any food related project, the time needed for creating the shapes, baking the cakes and then decorating them was extensive and extremely detail-oriented. However, we are steadfast in our belief that the details matter, so it was invigorating to see all of the small touches come together for a cohesive final product.
