Maximize your content to work for you in as many platforms, audiences and timeframes as you can.

Content is king. This is true for your business whether you are selling, educating, inspiring or just looking to earn respect and credibility in your industry. When you create a piece of content, written or otherwise, it should have a plan associated with it.

Ask Yourself:  What is the end goal of creating this piece of content?

– Who is going to see it?
– When are they going to see it?
– What are they going to get out of it?

Most people stop here. They’ve created a great piece of content, they post it on their website or video channel and they move on.

What should you do? Take it to the next level. Take a look at the potential for one piece of content.

social media to rank up videos

Make your content work for you in as many platforms, audiences and timeframes as you can. Take a look at the potential for one piece of content.

You make a video. That video becomes 3 blog post topics, those are each Facebook and LinkedIn posts, as well as broken into 3 tweets. You might also be able to make the video into shorter clips. (Think about pulling a customer testimonial out of your “Why Us” video.) There is also email newsletters, marketing materials… you get the idea.

It is time-consuming to create a plan for your content but if you are going to spend the resources on creating great stuff – you want it to be seen!
